WHO OWNS THE APARTMENTS
The apartments are owned by Marion and her brother, Malcolm. They were purchased in 2002 and have been happily used as holiday accommodation for the last 14 years.
HOW DO I BOOK?
You can book by using the direct booking system, it is easy to use.

For bookings within 6 weeks of the arrival date, the full rental is payable on receipt of the booking confirmation.
HOW DO I PAY?
'FREE TO BOOK' BOOKING SYSTEM
We are affiliated with Freetobook to accept on-line payments. This is a secure way of paying and as they do not charge a commission to you or ourselves, it is also the best value. The booking system books with us directly and guarantees the lowest price without commission.
You can get an immediate quote for your dates by using the Availability link on the HOME page or any of the “BOOK NOW” buttons throughout the website.
Using the FreeToBook on-line booking system is an instantaneous reservation - you will be asked for either a credit or debit card to pay the amount due. There are no card fees applicable.
When using this method of booking you will proceed to the reservation details page and then the payment page. The system will advise you of the deposit required and this secures your booking. The balance is payable 6 weeks before arrival. If you are booking within the six week period, I will send you a separate request for the balance.
This is a live system and the availability calendars within FreeToBook will be automatically updated. When we receive your deposit payment you will be sent a CONFIRMATION OF RESERVATION email that is a receipt for your deposit payment, it also shows the balance amount outstanding that must be paid 6-weeks before your arrival date.
We will send you a 45-DAY REMINDER email to jog your memory, we expect the outstanding balance to be paid within 3-working days. On the receipt of your balance payment you will receive a RECEIPT OF BALANCE PAYMENT email. The outstanding balance will include a refundable Security Deposit.
WHAT IS INCLUDED IN THE PRICE?
Our price includes all utilities, and cleaning the apartment at the end of your stay. Your bed will also be freshly made up and towels are provided (a hand towel and bath towel per person), including beach towels, as we know this takes up lots of room in your cases. Free high speed WIFI and phone.
You will have our contact numbers to use during your stay to deal with any difficulties which may arise.
CAN WE STAY FOR LESS THAN ONE WEEK?
Our minimum stay is 1 week during the summer season. Outside of this we accept stays of 4, 5 or 6 days.
ARE THE APARTMENTS SUITABLE FOR CHILDREN
We welcome children and can provide a travel cot and high chair if required. However, please be aware that our apartments have not been child proofed, e.g. there are no locks on the cupboard doors. There are no window guards, and both apartments have glass tables.
ARE THE APARTMENTS SUITABLE FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITY
Unfortunately, our apartments are not suitable for the disabled or people in wheelchairs. The lift is accessed by 4 steps and is not suitable for wheelchair use.
HOW DO I OBTAIN THE KEYS AND GET TO THE APARTMENT?
You will be met at the airport for the key handover. You will receive a map and instructions on how to get to the apartment. We do not offer a transfer service from the airport to the apartment. If you arrive by train or car, someone will meet you at the apartment at a designated time.
We recommend taking the airport bus to Nice from the airport - shuttle bus No.98. This gives you a good introductory view of Nice and travels down the promenade with the bay on your right. Get off at Albert 1er stop and walk across the park to the apartments.
There is a taxi rank directly outside of the airport terminal. Expect to pay around 30 euro for the fare to the apartment. Please be aware that, because the apartment is in the pedestrian zone, the taxi will not take you to the front of the apartment but will drop you at the end of the street.
WHAT ARE YOUR CANCELLATION TERMS?
- 42 days or More: If the booking is cancelled 42 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 30.00% of the stay will be made.If the booking is cancelled 42 or more days before arrival then a charge equal to 30.00% of the stay will be made.
- 41 days and 29 days: If a booking is cancelled less than 42 days before arrival then a charge equal to 50.00% of the stay will be made
- 28 days and less: If a booking is cancelled less than 28 days before arrival then a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made.
- No Show: In the event of a no show or booking reduction (after arrival date) the full cost of the booking is charged.
We will always endeavour to re-let the apartment for your dates. If we are successful, then your monies will be repaid in full minus a 60 euro administration fee.
ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES
- Check-in time is 4pm on the day of arrival. We want you to start your holiday as soon as possible and we will always try to have the apartment ready for you as soon as you arrive. However, if a guest is leaving at 11:00 am that morning, you may not be able to check in until 4pm.
There is no surcharge for late arrival. Although we do appreciate it if you arrive before 9pm
- Check-out time is 11:00am.
- Early Arrivals and Late Departure -- We do try to accommodate the various check-in and check-out times of our guests. In the high season please appreciate that this might be difficult. In some instances it might be possible to leave your cases for longer, but this cannot be guaranteed.
WHAT IF I WANT TO CHANGE MY DATES?
Dates can be changed up to six week before arrival with no penalties. After that date, if we have availability, there will be an administration charge of 75euro.
DO I HAVE TO PAY A SECURITY/BREAKAGE DEPOSIT?
We take a security deposit of the equivalent of 200euro via the booking system or Paypal. This is refunded in full within a week of you vacating the apartment. There are no charges payable on this, unless there has been a breakage.
ARE PETS ALLOWED IN THE APARTMENTS?
No, Pets are not welcome in the apartments.
IS SMOKING ALLOWED IN THE APARTMENTS?
No, both of our apartments are non-smoking.
Wi-Fi and Phone in the apartment
Both of our apartments have high speed WIFI and phone use at no extra charge. We cannot be held responsible for any service failures or incompatibility with your equipment. Some services are intermittent and being patient will be rewarded. However, if the service provider needs to be contacted this can sometimes take days to resolve.
Phone calls to landline numbers in most countries is free. Calls to mobile numbers are chargeable.
TV in the apartment
Both apartments have flat screen, LCD TVs with French cable tv. There are not many English channels on this service but CNN, SKY and BBC News are available.
HOW DO I GET TO NICE?
Nice is a well-connected city with TGV, an airport, and a port. The Nice airport (Aéroport Nice Côte d'Azur) has two terminals and is well served by budget airlines.
An airport shuttle bus (no. 98) operates from both terminals. This bus (€ 4) is the most convenient and cheapest way to get into central Nice. It leaves every twenty minutes from terminals 1 and 2 and the last bus every night yearly is at around 9 p.m., and in July to September this increases to nearly midnight. The bus takes you down the route of the Promenade des Anglais,
Nice can also be reached by TGV. The train takes five and a half hours from Paris. You may find a budget airline ticket is less expensive than the train. The Nice train station is situated at the top end of Avenue Jean-Médicin on Avenue Theirs it is about a 15 minute walk, or a short tram ride from the apartments.
COMING BY CAR
A car is not needed in Nice as the public transport is very efficient and cheap. If you need a car during your stay to visit some of the outlying districts, we recommend hiring one for the day. There are car hire offices about 200metres away from the apartment. You will need your passport and driving license.
If you do come by car, expect street parking to be difficult and budget for parking in one of the secure underground parking areas. Expect this to cost about 30euros per day.
The closest car park to the apartments is the Meridien Ruhl carpark, although we recommend the Palais Mediterranean carpark as it is newer and has more room. It is a 5 minute walk away from the apartment.
DO I NEED TRAVEL INSURANCE?
We advise you to have your own comprehensive travel insurance to cover all liabilities incurred by you in France. This is not limited to, but will include any accident, injury, accidental damage to property or persons that you may cause. Most policies provide, as part of the general cover, third-party personal liability insurance at no extra cost so it should not cause you any problems to obtain it. Travel insurance will also assist in lost luggage, any expensive accidental breakages, or if you are a victim of crime or have a medical emergency. Please do not ruin your holiday by not taking out insurance.
